Associate, Management Accounts & Corporate Secretarial

What you will be doing

As an Associate working in our Management Accounts & Corporate Secretarial (MACS) team, you will play a key role in both statutory compliance/governance for our clients and the preparation of accurate and timely financial information - ensuring alignment with ACRA requirements, the Companies Act 1967, and relevant accounting standards.

 

Management Accounts Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of Accounts: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for investment funds, holding companies, and other corporate structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS/SFRS.
  2. Bookkeeping & Journals: Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments; maintaining general ledgers and supporting schedules.
  3. Reconciliations: Preparing and reviewing bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity of financial data.
  4. Financial Analysis: Assisting in variance analysis, expense monitoring, and providing insights to support client decision-making.
  5. Audit & Compliance Support: Coordinating with auditors, preparing year-end financial statements, and assisting clients in meeting tax and regulatory filing requirements.
  6. Client Liaison: Acting as a point of contact for accounting queries, ensuring clear communication of financial results and requirements.

 

Corporate Secretarial Responsibilities

  1. Statutory Compliance: Ensuring companies comply with the Singapore Companies Act and filing annual return and other statutory documents with ACRA
  2. Corporate Governance: advising the board of directors on governance matters and ensuring board procedures are followed and decisions properly documented
  3. Administrative Duties: Maintaining statutory registers (i.e. of directors, shareholders), organizing and minuting Annual General Meetings (AGM’s) and board meetings, and managing share transfers, dividend declarations and company resolutions
  4. Liaison Role: Acting as a bridge between companies and regulatory bodies and keeping company information updated with ACRA (i.e. officers, addresses, contact information)
  5. Corporate Change Support: Assisting with mergers, acquisitions and restructuring, ensuring compliance during changes in shareholding and directorships 

What you will need

An ordinary resident of Singapore (Singapore citizen, PR, or holder of a valid Employment Pass), you have a strong understanding of Singapore company law, filing requirements, and an interest in building your accounting expertise.  
You thrive on working with both regulatory and financial reporting projects, tackling challenges with attention to detail, and providing clear, professional advice to clients. You enjoy working collaboratively, offering guidance with integrity, and consistently delivering a high standard of service.
You are an effective communicator, well-organized, and committed to learning — both in governance and in financial reporting. You stay up to date with the latest trends in your field and share your knowledge with clients and colleagues.

Your Profile:
  • A higher education degree (Bachelor, Master, or equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Corporate Governance or Law
  • Working towards (or interest in pursuing) a professional accounting qualification (e.g. compliance, accounting)
  • Relevant work experience in the financial services industry (e.g. in compliance or administration) is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Companies Act and ACRA compliance requirements and basic accounting principles
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A strong interest in learning, knowledge sharing, collaborative working
  • A genuine curiosity about emerging technologies, particularly AI, and a keen interest in leveraging these innovations to develop new services that address evolving client needs and improve solutions
